Turbo Fruits’ Jonas Stein Starts Record Label

Turbo Fruits‘ founder Jonas Stein has recently launched his own record label, Turbo Time Records, with the roaster of Turbo Fruits (for course) and Nashville’s PUJOL (who has recently released a 7″ with Jack White’s Third Man Records label )…. And Tuesday marked the release of the Turbo Time’s first 2 releases: PUJOL’s ‘Alive At the Same Time’ 7? & Turbo Fruits’ ‘Where the Stars Don’t Shine’ 7?

Deer Tick Tour Bus Auction

If you are in the market, there are a little less than 4 days left to make an eBay bid for Deer Tick‘s 2001 GMC Savana Schoolbus which was used as their tour bus for all of their 2009 U.S. tour. A portion of the money made from the bus, nicknamed “The Flagship,” will go to benefit Pakistan flood victims via Oxfam America:

Warpaint: ‘Undertow’ Video & Download

We have been VERY excited about Warpaint‘s debut LP ‘The Fool,’ which has been on high rotation here at the South Rail and drops 10/25 via Rough Trade. Brand New Yellow Bird Project T-shirt Designed by Beach House

If you haven’t heard of Yellow Bird Project, they are a Montreal-based non-profit that have put together many fantastic indie rock artists to design unique t-shirts whose sales benefit that band’s charity of choice… Their latest masterpiece (shown above) was designed by Beach House and is available for $25 here. All proceeds go to House of Ruth, a Maryland based organization that provides assistance to victims of domestic violence. Great causes, great shirts!… what are you waiting for? Buy something!… Here’s one of favorites.
Beach House is currently on tour and will be at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA October 16th!!
