Athens, Georgia’s Dead Confederate have been hard at work on their new album, ‘Sugar,’ which hits shelves next month on August 24th… and if the album is anything like their first single ‘Giving It All Away’ and the making-of video below, then we are in-store for an AMAZING album!!! Sonny and the Sunsets: ‘Too Young To Burn’

At first we were bummed to hear jj had bailed out of the Pitchfork Music Festival next month… but when we found out Sonny and the Sunsets were taking their place on-stage, it helped fill that void AND THEN SOME!

Get ready to hear a lot more from this San Francisco 4-piece who recently were signed to Fat Possum Records. Their most recent LP, ‘Tomorrow is Alright,’ which was released from their previous label, Soft Abuse, will be re-released by Fat Possum in August… Check out and/or download a track from that LP, ‘Too Young To Burn.’ Definitely one of our favs:

Secret Cities: ‘Pink Graffiti’

We were recently introduced to the band Secret Cities, a Fargo, North Dakota trio whose debut album ‘Pink Graffiti’ drops July 29th via Western Vinyl… And with only listening to the 10 track LP twice, we are hooked! From the first note to the last track, it’s almost hard to believe they’re only a 3 piece… Try’em out for yourself. Quiet Life: EP CD Giveaway + Download Exclusive Tracks

2010 is going to be a BIG year for the band Quiet Life!

The Connecticut band, now headquartered in Portland, just released the 6-song EP ‘California Vacation’ (available on iTunes), is about to release a full-length, ‘Big Green,’ due this July, and brothers Sean and Ryan Spellman just got home from a U.S. tour acting as the backing band for Port O’Brien.

And to celebrate, Quiet Life has given The South Rail some exclusive tracks and prizes for our readers including an autographed, hand-made EP!

Jacuzzi Boys: ‘Smells Dead’ Video + Download

Miami’s Jacuzzi Boys will be hittin’ up in the South Rail territory this May/June with several CAN’T MISS SHOWS!
