DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 REUNITE!

January 19, 2011 2 Comments

The 2011 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival lineup was revealed today, and man, is it impressive! Three full days of solid, fanatically booked music. Check out the full line-up here… But one act, and one day stuck out to us the most… On Sunday April 17, DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979 WILL REUNITE! Word is not out if this is a one-off show or not, but Coachella is known to pay big bucks for bands they want, regardless! We’re just hopping this triggers at least another tour… Maybe album?

Since DFA79’s end in late 2005, departing right after their first big-time tour, opening for Nine Inch Nails and Queens of the Stone Age, members Sebastien Grainger and Jesse Keeler have still been in the music game, just not together (departing for personal issues)… Grainger with his band Sebastien Grainger & the Mountains, Bad Tits, and his other handful of side-projects and Keeler with the electro-house group MSTRKRFT. Both great side projects, but we still miss that original duo that won our heart!

Enjoy the blast from the mid-2000s past, and we’ll keep you posted as this story develops…
