The Coasts are a new band from Little Rock, Arkansas consisting of members Eric Mount and Ike Peters. Their recent, self titled LP, which has been on high South Rail rotation this week, dropped digitally on BandCamp August 1st and is only available in digital format at this time. An unsigned band with a great sound, and a great debut album under their belt. Naked Gods: Popsicle Swamp (demo)

Last month we spoke with Derek ‘Wildcat’ Wycoff of Boone, North Carolina’s Naked Gods, who informed us the band was in the process of recording the follow-up to 2008’s ‘Welcome Home,’ which should be complete as a small release by October of this year…. Well, fall is just around the corner… so here is a first taste of new material from the band! A bandcamp Summer mixtape from Funny/Not Funny Records was recently released which features a demo version of the new song ‘Popsicle Swamp.’ Stream/download the song below… and we’ll keep you posted once news of the new album drops this fall:

Get To Know: Blackfoot Gypsies

We’re always a sucker for a vintage-influenced blues/rock 2-piece… and Nashville’s Blackfoot Gypsies are defiantly hitting that mark. We recently discovered this guitar/drum duo and are eager to catch a live show and see what these guys are all about! They won’t be swinging by Chattanooga, but they’ll be roaming the south the next couple of months, covering Asheville, Charlotte, Nashville and a few more. Catch all show dates here.

Dominate Legs: New Video, Download & Fall U.S Tour

We’ve been following Dominant Legs for the past year, back when band founder Ryan William Lynch was the touring guitarist of the band Girls. Now nearly a year later, his own band is gearing up to release their first full-length album, ‘Invitation,’ which drops September 27th via Lefse Records (pre-order here).

The first track from the LP is called ‘Hoop of Love,’ which can be downloaded below. And also check out the official video for that track and catch Dominate Legs on the road. They just announced their Sept/Oct US Tour yesterday where they’ll be hittin’ the road with Nurses. Catch the full list of dates below:

Reigning Sound: ‘What Did I Tell You’

Reigning Sound recently released a 7-inch split via Scion A/V Garage with the band Last Year’s Men. The record features the new song, ‘What Did I Tell You’ which can be streamed below… Toyota’s Scion brand has really been doing a lot with music lately, putting out tons of 7-inches by great bands. You can also download a bunch of free tracks from those releases from artists like Nobunny, Jacuzzi Boys, The Strange Boys, Natural Child and many more HERE… I guess we’ll all have to go buy cars from them now…

A.A. Bondy: New Song, Album & Fall Tour

Bondy album ‘Believers,’ which is his follow-up to the AMAZING 2009 release ‘When The Devil’s Loose.’ …And today, exclusively at NPR, we get the first taste of ‘Believers’ with the stream of LP’s first single ‘The Heart Is Willing.’
