Get to know PRUSSIA

Prussia is a band we can’t get enough of lately. Back in April, we had the pleasure of catching this Detroit 5-piece at JJ’s with opening acts Child Bite and Chattanooga’s own Black Painter. And all we gotta say is… GO SEE THIS BAND LIVE! Check them out performing the song ‘What Am I Going To Tell Your Mom’ at Audiotree Live and and you’ll hear why you’ll be hearing a lot more from these guys:

This song comes from the 4 song EP ‘Four For Attention,’ which was available digitally at the band’s bandcamp site until recently. We believe it got pulled because Prussia is in the final-stretch of wrapping up their debut LP ‘Poor English’ which they promised would be out later on this year. More details to come.

Jessica Lea Mayfield: Live on NPR’s World Cafe

Jessica Lea Mayfield is no stranger to Chattanooga. Her and her brother, David Mayfield, graced their presence to JJ’s Bohemia last fall testing new material from Jessica’s sophomore LP ‘Tell Me,’ which is also her second album to be produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach.

Jessica performed 4 songs today from that new album on NPR’s World Cafe, which can be streamed here:

The Features: The Wilderness Releases July 26th

Back in May, we were introduced to The Features‘ first single, ‘Rambo,’ from their upcoming LP The Wilderness, due out July 26h…. The band just released this teaser video for the album, which can be purchased via the band in the next few weeks HERE. Check it:

We have been diggin’ on the debut LP from La Sera, another Vivian Girls side-project band, this time fronted by member Katy Goodman. The video for the self-titled album’s single ‘Devils Hearts Grow Gold’ premiered today via Pitchfork.

Sonny & the Sunsets: ‘I Wanna Do It’

The sophomore album for San Francisco’s Sonny and the Sunsets is set for release April 12 via Fat Possum. The new LP, “Hit After Hit,” follows up their debut Tomorrow is Alright which we released last year.
