Nashville’s Birdcloud, know for their face-to-face home videos (see examples HERE), have finally dropped their first OFFICIAL music video for the song ‘Warshin’ My Big Ol Pussy.’ A catchy song complimented with a fun video… and a great act to see live too! The song is off the band’s debut, self-titled EP, which can be purchased HERE or from iTunes HERE… but keep a look-out for an other EP release in the near future! Birdcloud’s Jasmin Kaset reported; “We are working on a holiday EP now called ‘Cool Christmas.’ More to come on that early November.” We can’t wait!

Waters is a new band by Van Pierszalowski, formerly of Port O’Brien, whose debut record ‘Out in the Light ‘ dropped last month via TBD Records (City Slang Records in the UK) and has been on high rotation with The South Rail team. After the demise of Port O’Brien last spring (2010), Van spent the next year traveling, ending up in Oslo, Norway where he put together a new band with a few Norwegians he met — Two months of rehearsing later, they recorded the debut LP in Dallas, TX with producer John Congletonin just 10 days!
The first single from those sessions is ‘For The One.’ Check out the official video below along with a free download of the song and an other video that features a great solo acoustic version of ‘For The One,’ recorded on Ocean Beach in San Francisco:

Last weekThose Darlins released a new 7-inch featuring the extended version of their new LP’s title-track ‘Screws Get Loose,’ which also features the never released b-side ‘Prank Call’ (artwork above). And in celebration of that release, the Nashville 4-piece have unveiled the a-side’s new video exclusivly on SPIN.com! This is their LP’s second video directed by Veta&Theo of Ovvio Arte who put together their last video for ‘Be Your Bro’ as well as all the photography/artwork for the ‘Screw Get Loose’ LP. We had always been avid readers of Rolling Stone magazine since we were young music enthusiasts. But stopped subscribing just years ago, around the time they were telling us that Jonas Brothers had cranked out a 4-star album that ranked a top-40 album of the year status…
We bring this up because we were shocked by this Rolling Stone exclusive video premiere today for JEFF the Brotherhood‘s debut Third Man Records single & video for ‘Whatever I Want.’… NOT to sound negative about this exclusive at all– the publicity and exposure that JEFF the Brotherhood have been receiving for their latest LP ‘We Are the Champions’ has been amazing and VERY well deserved. What we are saying is that it is nice to see great music finally changing the industry. And it gives us FAITH (and a bit of relief) to see this happening with a band we have watched grow… and who we extremely enjoy.
Brooklyn’s Friends debuted their first limited edition 7-inch ‘Friend Crush’ via UK’s Lucky Number Music earlier this year, along with a video that followed just a few months later.
