U.S Air Force Reserve VS The White Stripes

The U.S Air Force Reserve used a re-recorded, unauthorized version of The White Stripes’ “Fell in Love with a Girl” in last night’s Super Bowl commercial… and Jack White is pissed!

The first thing you see on the homepage of Third Man Records (click here and see image above) is a statement from the band and its management claiming the U.S Air Force used an unauthorized version of their song and allows us to hear the comparison. “…The White Stripes take strong insult and objection to the Air Force Reserves presenting this advertisement with the implication that we licensed one of our songs to encourage recruitment during a war that we do not support…” Read the Third Man full statement here

Hear the U.S Air Force Reserve Super Bowl commercial here… and you don’t really need to compare anything. This is a blatant rip-off.
