Tuesday, May 18th, 2 great band from Thrill Jockey Records will be heading to the Chattanooga area: Pontiak and Arbouretum! And we have a PAIR OF TICKETS to giveaway to one lucky reader for the show at JJ’s Bohemia… PLUS, your choice of Pontiak or Arbouretum’s newest album on vinyl!

The bands will also be playing with local South Rail favorite Forest Magic at this can’t-miss show… Download the latest tracks from the bands below… ‘Young’ is the first track from Pontiak’s newest album ‘Living’ which will be available May 18th and ‘False Spring’ is from Arbouretum’s latest ‘Song of the Pearl.’ And for a limited time pick-up both LPs and the limited edition tour poster (above) for only $22 here:

The winner of the contest will be placed on Thrill Jockey Records’ guest list which allows the winner (+ guest) entrance (no actual tickets will be sent). Winner needs to present their ID at the door. After the show, the winner can visit the merchandise table and give their name to receive their prize – their choice of Pontiak OR Arbouretum’s latest album on vinyl.

Monotonix and Turbo Fruits: This Sunday at JJ’s Bohemia (Chattanooga, TN)

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! If you are in the Chattanooga area this weekend (1/24), come on out to JJ’s Bohemia for a GREAT line-up featuring Monotonix and Turbo Fruits!

Straight-outta Tel Aviv Israeli, Monotonix are currently touring for their latest LP ‘Where Were You When It Happened‘ which came out last fall. Known for their outlandish live acts, this is a CAN’T MISS SHOW for Chattanooga. Check out some live features below and download their single ‘Set Me Free’ off of their new LP (available now).

Turbo Fruits (featuring ex-Be Your Own Pet member Jonas Stein) are on tour supporting their 2nd record ‘Echo Kid‘ and will be on tour next month with Surfer Blood and Holiday Shores… Go to their main site to preview ‘Echo Kid’ and download THREE tracks including ‘Mama’s Mad Cos I Fried My Brain’ ‘On the Road’ and ‘International Language of Love.’
